CCAC Strike Enters Its Second Week

Community Care Access Centre workers have been on strike for a week now, with no hint of any talks.

Ontario Nurses Association Bargaining Unit Vice President Cathy Bourque says they've yet to be approached by the employer.

Bourque says community support has kept them motivated.

About 260 employees of the Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre that encompasses Sarnia-Lambton, Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex are on strike.

Wages are the main issue. There hasn't been a raise in three years.
