Two men can thank the crew onboard the Pelee Island ferry MV Jiimaan for their rescue from the waters of western Lake Erie.
The two were in the water for about eight hours after they fell from a jet ski off Leamington's shore.
The crew on the ferry spotted the jet ski and called the Canadian Coast Guard's Marine Communications Centre in Sarnia around 9pm Monday night.
A search and rescue crew stationed in Amherstburg responded, and the pair was rescued around 12:30am Tuesday morning. A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter also helped in the search.
Once they were on board the Coast Guard vessel, the men were transferred to a waiting ambulance in Leamington.
Coast guard officials say only one of the men was wearing a life jacket and both were suffering hypothermia.
