Lightning Stops Express 119-106 in Windsor

Ryan Anderson scored 24 points off the bench in the London Lightning's 119-106 win over the Express in Windsor Sunday afternoon.

Following the game at the WFCU Centre, the last home contest for the Express for the regular season, the Lightning remain in a virtual tie with the St. John's Edge for the lead in the NBL Central Division. The Express is third with a 20-17 record.

The game was relatively close in the first quarter, but the Lightning broke it open in the second and held a 61-38 lead at halftime. Windsor stopped the bleeding and kept pace in the third quarter and narrowed the gap in the fourth, but the London lead was too large to overcome.

Royce White added 18 points for the Lightning. Kyle Johnson and Mo Bolden had 16 points apiece. Bolden led London defensively with ten rebounds.

Windsor's scoring leader also came off the bench, with Kevin Loiselle shooting for 25 points. Logan Stutz sank an additional 15 points, and Damontre Harris put in 13. Stutz led on defence with nine boards.

The Lightning head to Kitchener Tuesday night to take on the Titans.

Windsor plays its last three regular-season games on the road, starting with London at Budweiser Gardens Wednesday.
