Wooden board considered a weapon
A 25-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after allegedly threatening another man while holding a wooden board.
Chatham-Kent police said they got the call late Sunday afternoon on Colborne Street in Chatham, adding that the accused took off running when officers arrived.
The suspect was arrested after a short foot chase and taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
He was charged with uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breach of probation.

Damaged vehicle leads to mischief charge
A 34-year-old Shrewsbury man is in trouble with the law after allegedly taking a bat to someone's vehicle.
Officers said the incident took place Friday night, adding that the man who damaged the vehicle and the person who owns it both know each other.
The accused was arrested Sunday night and charged with mischief and failing to comply. He was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

Arrest on outstanding warrant
Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 39-year-old Chatham woman who allegedly cashed a stolen cheque.
Police said the woman was taken into custody Sunday afternoon and charged with fraud and possession of property obtained by a crime.
She was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Tools stolen from shed in Wallaceburg
Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they try to solve a theft in Wallaceburg.
Investigators said someone entered a shed on Victoria Street sometime late Saturday or early Sunday and took off with various tools.
