Lambton Public Health is reporting one more resolved case of COVID-19, after four new cases were recorded over the weekend.
In its daily update today, the health unit said 346 of the 380 confirmed cases have recovered and there's nine active cases.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Sudit Ranade said under the new provincial framework, we remain in the "green" or prevent category.
"Reaching out beyond the GTA, places are starting to find themselves more into the yellow, the dark yellow, or oranges. So I think it's important, even though I've been saying that our numbers themselves are sort of grumbling along, to recognize the pattern is the disease is moving outside of the GTA and into other areas. I think we should expect that to happen here at some point."
The outbreak at Fiddick’s Retirement Home in Petrolia remains in effect after one resident tested positive late last month.
One case has been linked to Riverview Central School in Port Lambton. The Lambton Kent District School Board said the elementary school remains open.
No COVID-related deaths have been reported locally in over five months and the death toll stands at 25.
Bluewater Health is still reporting three positive patients in hospital.
