Wanted man accused of stealing vehicle 

Some time Thursday night, Chatham-Kent police responded to a traffic complaint.

Through an investigation, police located a stolen truck from St. Thomas parked on Grand Avenue East. A description of man was provided to police and he was located on Delaware Avenue a short time later.

The 26-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by a crime over $5,000. He was also wanted on an outstanding warrant. The accused has since been released with a court date of October 24.

Police investigate suspicious fire

At around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, officers were called about a vehicle on fire at the Tilbury Government Docks on Jeannettes Creek Road.

Trailer filled with tools stolen

Sometime between September 12 and 15, unknown suspect(s) stole a 2021 grey enclosed trailer full of tools from a property on Wabash Line. Police say the trailer was last seen with Ontario license plate V53 64A. The total value of the stolen items is valued at $7,500.

Power tools lifted from Tilbury garage

Police are investigating a theft in Tilbury that occurred sometime between September 10 and 15.

A number of DeWalt brand power tools, valued at $2,500, were reportedly stolen from a garage on Fort Street.
