Advance polls open in Chatham-Kent for federal election

Chatham-Kent residents who want to go out and cast their ballot ahead of election day will have an opportunity to do that over the holiday weekend.

Advance voting is available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 21.

The location of where you can cast your ballot in advance voting is listed on your voter card, which was mailed out earlier this month.

You can also find your polling station by clicking here.

It's the first federal election since some riding boundaries were reorganized, which now puts all of Chatham-Kent into the same riding of Chatham-Kent-Leamington.

You can read more about the five local candidates in that riding here.

Voters can also participate by voting at an Elections Canada office up until April 22 at 6 p.m. by using a special ballot process.

The only Elections Canada office in Chatham-Kent is at 100 King Street West in Chatham. That office is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 12pm to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
