Angry citizens arrested
Two men from Chatham-Kent have been charged after two separate assaults in Tilbury and Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said an 18-year-old Tilbury man was charged with assault after an altercation on Thursday afternoon on Sunset Crescent in Tilbury.
Police say an individual who was walking with friends was unexpectedly approached and punched in the nose by another individual.
A 32-year-old man from Chatham was also charged with uttering threats following damage to a vehicle and alleged threats on Thursday afternoon.
Police said a Chatham restaurant employee accidentally damaged a colleague’s vehicle due to a gust of wind pushing her car door into it. According to police, the colleague became agitated and threatened to assault the woman.

Theft arrest
Several charges including robbery and theft have been laid against a 34-year-old Chatham man after he allegedly took some items, including a bicycle, from a Chatham department store without paying for them.
According to Chatham-Kent police, the suspect was approached by security at the store on St. Clair Street on Thursday afternoon. It's alleged he brandished a knife in a threatening manner towards a staff member who was trying to detain him.
Police said the man ran away, but was arrested about an hour later on Gregory Drive.
The man was bound by two probation orders with a condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
He faces multiple charges, including robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, theft, possession of stolen property, failing to comply with probation, and failure to comply with a court order.
