A 32-year-old man who was wanted in connection with an alleged road rage incident last month is facing drug and weapons charges after Chatham-Kent police searched his residence.
CK police said the alleged road rage incident was on May 26, adding that they obtained a warrant to search the man's home on Tuesday.
He was arrested for unauthorized possession of a firearm and pointing a firearm.
Officers said they seized several items during their search including three 9 mm bullet casings, one round of 9 mm ammunition, and two sets of brass knuckles.
Police also seized some cocaine and some MDMA with a combined street value of about $4,800 along with digital scales, packaging material, a large quantity of cash, and a cell phone.
The accused was charged with two counts of possession of a banned weapon along with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
He was taken to police headquarters and was later released with conditions and a future court date.
According to police, a 29-year-old Chatham woman turned herself in to police Friday morning in connection with the search. She now faces the same drug and weapons charges as her co-accused.
