While it's not a statutory holiday in Ontario, there will be closures across Chatham-Kent on Tuesday to mark Remembrance Day.
Municipal offices and most services will be shut on November 11, as will the provincial courts and the Service Ontario locations in Chatham and Dresden. Federal government offices and Canada Post will also be closed.
CK Public Health will be closed on Tuesday, and there will be altered services at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA).
Patients with scheduled diagnostic tests are advised to attend their appointments, as those departments will be staffed to meet those needs. Hemodialysis care and Emergency Departments will be open as usual. All other departments will be closed on Tuesday.
Arenas will be open for regular hours on Remembrance Day, as will the Gable Rees Rotary Pool in Blenheim and the Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool.
Theatres, museums, libraries, and galleries will be closed.
Curbside garbage and recycling services won't be affected during the week of Remembrance Day. All waste depots and leaf and yard depots will be open during regular hours.
Ride CK Transit users are in luck on Tuesday, as all transit services will be operating.
