Wal-Mart employee threatened during robbery

Strathroy-Caradoc police are trying to track down a suspect after an employee was threatened with a weapon during a robbery at the local Wal-Mart.

Officers were called to the store at 150 Carroll St. E around 6 p.m. on Sunday.

According to police, a man threatened a store employee with an unspecified weapon before taking off with over $2,000 worth of merchandise. All of the stolen goods were later found by police. It is believed the suspect dropped the items while making his getaway.

The suspect was last seen inside another local business shortly after the Wal-Mart robbery. He is described as Caucasian, 5'5" to 5'8" tall with a slim build and brown hair. While inside Wal-mart he was wearing a leather jacket and grey ball cap, which he no longer had on when spotted inside the second business.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 519-245-1250 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
