The Leamington Flyers built an early lead and held it for a 4-1 win over the Kings in Komoka Saturday night.
The Flyers extend their lead in the first-round junior-B playoff series to 2-0.
Parker Jacques' goal at 13:26 of the first period got the Flyers on the scoreboard first. Leamington outshot Komoka 10-6 in the opening stanza.
The Flyers' lead doubled in the second period when Levi Tetrault found the net with 41 seconds left in the frame.
Leamington pushed the lead to 3-0 in the final period when Daniel Langlois lit the lamp on the power play at 15:19. Joel Mazzilli avoided the shutout with a goal for Komoka less than two minutes later. The Kings pulled goalie Reagan Gies for the extra attacker and the Flyers sealed it with an empty-netter by Kade McKibbin.
Connor Meyerink had 18 out of 19 saves for Leamington. Gies stopped 29 shots in the Komoka goal.
Game 3 of the best-of-seven series is Sunday night at the Kinsmen Centre.

The London Nationals scored often and held on for a 3-2 win over the Rockets in Strathroy.
London takes a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven playoff series.
The first period came and went with no scoring. London beat Strathroy in the shot count 10-9 and had one missed power play opportunity.
The Nationals broke it open in the second with a trio of unanswered goals. Brenden Trottier got it started at 11:19 in the frame, followed over the next three minutes by goals from Riley MacRae and James Turner.
The Rockets attempted to come back with back-to-back goals in the third. Greg Marks stuffed the shutout for Strathroy with a power play goal, then T.J. Harris scored over a minute after that. Strathroy, however, was unable to tie the contest.
David Ovsjannikov was between the pipes for the Nationals, with 23 saves. Vince Michelizzi had 25 saves for Strathroy.
Game 3 is Sunday night in London.
