High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

The OPP Canines are out with a new calendar.
In a release, provincial police say their canine units "took a paws (sic) in fighting crime to strike a pose."
The release says for more than 50 years handlers and their canines have been providing assistance with search and rescue, tracking wanted persons, drug detection, and searching for firearms, explosives, and physical evidence.
The calendar features 24 photos of police dogs from across the province showing off their specialty.
All proceeds go to the <a href="https://oppyouthfoundation.ca/">OPP Youth Foundation</a> and the <a href="https://oppmuseumfriends.ca/">Friends of the OPP Museum</a>. They are $15  each and can be bought at the <a href="http://oppshop.on.ca">OPP Off Duty Shop</a>.
