West Grey Library marks Library Month

The West Grey Library is hosting a full-day event For the Love of Reading.

Everyone is invited to celebrate the stories, books, and authors of Ontario on Saturday, October 5 at the Durham Town Hall, starting at 11 a.m.

The day will mark October’s Canadian Library Month, beginning with a free local authors’ book sale, featuring over a dozen local and regional authors. That includes Thanh Campbell, who will be on hand at 1 p.m. and Dan Needles at 7 p.m.

At 4 p.m., there’s an authors’ panel followed by a fundraiser dinner at 5:30 p.m.

Local authors are also in the spotlight at during a free program at 2 p.m.

Tickets for all other events featuring authors are $15 and the fundraising dinner is $30, with proceeds going to the Library.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
