MacGregor Point skating trail opens

The skating trail at MacGregor Point Provincial Park is now open.

Park officials warn that the park becomes very busy as visitors get out to enjoy some outdoor skating.

People are urged to purchase a vehicle permit for the Cedar Lane parking lot in advance to ensure a spot on the trail.

There are two-hour time slots for the skating trail parking lot which can be purchased up to five days in advance through the Ontario Parks Reservation website.

People should arrive on time, and stop at the administration office to receive their permits.

Officials stressed the skating rink is still closed and people should stay off the ice surface until it is open.
