There's been a mass resignation from the Board of Directors of the Deker Bauer Foundation for suicide prevention.
President Michelle Parks, the chief financial officer and two other board directors have stepped down.
Parks wishes the foundation well in the future.
"We're all very passionate about suicide prevention and the original goals we came up with as directors," she says. "But we were no longer comfortable with the direction the foundation was heading with its current leadership. There were some differences of opinion as to how that leadership should be looking. It wasn't happening that way so we decided to leave."
The foundation's mandate is to promote mental health and help prevent suicide by operating a crisis centre and offering counselling and workshops.
It's named after Deker Bauer who took his own life in August 2014.
The foundation was originally co-founded by his mother Teresa Ingles who is the organization's CEO.
