Sarnia man faces child pornography charge

A 31-year-old Sarnia man has been charged with possessing child pornography after an investigation by the Sarnia Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) investigation unit.

Police started the investigation on September 4 and arrested a man at a home on Euphemia St. on September 12 after conducting a search warrant.

Police say there appear to be no local victims but the investigation is continuing.

The suspect's name has not been released.

The Sarnia Police ICE Unit is a partner of Ontario’s provincial strategy to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation on the internet.

This project has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.
