Strathroy-Caradoc police are investigating the theft of an ATM from the Gemini Sportsplex.
Police say at around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, three men pried open the front door of the rec centre, dislodged an ATM and loaded it up in the back of a pickup truck that had been stolen earlier from London Tire Sales on Albert Street.
The first suspect is described as approximately 6' tall, with a medium build. He was wearing jeans, a grey-t-shirt, a black Adidas hooded sweater with the hood up with white lines down the arms, black gloves and a black mask or bandanna covering the lower portion of his face. Police believe he may have been carrying a screwdriver.
The second suspect is said to be approximately 5'9'' to 5'11'' with a stocky build. He was wearing jeans, a bright blue shirt, a black hooded sweater with the hood up, black Nike running shoes, purple gloves with black mask or bandanna covering the lower half of his face. He appeared to be carrying a tire iron.
The third suspect is described as 5'10''-6', wearing a white hooded sweater, a black jacket, possibly a ball cap, gloves, and a mask.
The truck, a black 2005 Chevrolet Silverado with a black metal cage on the bed, was later found by police abandoned in a subdivision off Second Street.
