Original Albert's Fries food drive Saturday

Original Albert's Fries in Point Edward is holding its annual food drive Saturday, November 7.

Cash or food donations only are being collected from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

A $1 donation or one non-perishable food item will get a donor a drink, small gravy or small cheese sauce at the Michigan Avenue eatery.

A hot dog can be had for two food items or a $2 donation, and a small plate of fries for a $3 donation or three non-perishable food items.

Albert's employee Jon Sinclair said those are the only menu items they'll be serving.

He said they feel it's very important to have the event this year even though the village is not staging the annual Christmas in the Village due to the pandemic.
