Alvinston COVID-19 test centre expands for anyone wishing to get tested

A COVID-19 testing centre in Alvinston has some extra availability for anyone wishing to get tested on Sunday, March 14.

The temporary testing centre had been initially set up for use this weekend, in order to test those affected by an outbreak of COVID-19 at Brooke Central Public School. However, Executive Director for the Central Lambton Family Team, Sarah Milner said that the centre will now be opening up for anyone wishing to get tested.

"We have been able to manage the volumes very well and wanted to expand it to anybody that needs testing," she said. That includes those from outside the immediate Brooke-Alvinston community that are willing to make the drive out for a COVID-19 test.

The centre will be open Sunday, March 14 from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Brooke-Alvinston-Inwood Community Centre on Walnut Street. Those wishing to get tested can book an appointment online or by email at covidclinic@clfht.com. Milner said walk-ins would also be accommodated. The centre also has a drive-through option.
