UPDATE: City police respond to barricaded persons

Sarnia police were on scene after multiple people reportedly barricaded themselves inside of a home in the 800 block of Montrose Street Tuesday morning.

Residents in the area of Montrose, Assiniboine Cres., and Wilmont Place were asked to remain in their homes, and avoid the area.

In an update provided early Tuesday evening, police reported that the situation came to a peaceful resolution and the barricaded individuals have been taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing, further information has not been made available.
