Sarnia-Lambton businesses have yet another tool to combat COVID-19.
Those with up to 150 employees now have access to free rapid antigen tests that can identify asymptomatic cases in a matter of 15 minutes.
Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce CEO Allan Calvert said they've partnered with TechAlliance to offer the service.
"Many companies that have taken advantage of this throughout the province of Ontario, have noticed a great sense of satisfaction by many of their employees," said Calvert. "Their companies are looking out for them and doing whatever is available to them at this time to help mitigate any spread of COVID-19."
Business owners can order screening kits online at www.staysafelambton.ca.
They're encouraged to test employees twice per week, and should order supplies for two week intervals.
Calvert stresses that these tests are not a substitute for following safety protocols like social distancing and wearing masks.
According to Lambton Public Health, there were no workplace outbreaks locally as of Tuesday morning.
