The Seaway Kiwanis Club of Sarnia-Lambton is bringing back a past event for children to enjoy.
Kiwanis Kids Free Day At The Farm will be held on Saturday, July 16 at the children's animal farm at Canatara Park from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Spokesman Ken Stothers said the club hosted this event a few years ago as part of an anniversary celebration but decided to host it again following two years of COVID-19 restrictions.
Stothers said almost 4,000 kids attended the previous event.
He said this year's festivities will include "just about anything" to keep children entertained for a few hours.
"We have four large inflatables, we have free train rides, BMX track events going on at the BMX Track, computer events, remote cars, free hot dogs, some music, face painting, and cookie decorating," said Stothers.
The Kiwanis Club also plans to have police and fire department displays set up. The local human society will have special events at the animal farm as well.
Stothers said since it is a free event, the only thing parents may want to bring is a lawn chair so that they can relax while their kids have fun.
