Two familiar faces have been elected as board chairs for the public and Catholic school boards in Lambton-Kent.
School board trustees were officially sworn in during inaugural board meetings this week.
The St. Clair Catholic District School Board (SCCDSB) re-elected John Van Heck as board chair and David Argenti was acclaimed as vice chair.
Van Heck has held the role of board chair since 2016.
Argenti will serve as vice chair for the first time but has been a school board trustee since 2018.
Meanwhile, the Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) re-elected Randy Campbell as chair and Janet Barnes was elected as vice chair.
Campbell was first elected as board chair in 2020 after serving as vice chair and has served as a trustee since 2006.
Barnes was elected to the LKDSB in 2018 and served on the grievance committee, supervised alternative learning committee, negotiations committee, and special education advisory committee.
Elections to appoint board chairs and vice chairs are held each year.
