The Sarnia Sting's eight-game win streak came to an end Friday night after a 7-6 shootout loss to the Guelph Storm.
Luca Del Bel Belluz had a goal and two assists for the Sting, who rallied from an early 3-1 deficit to lead 6-4 with under three minutes left.
Brenden Anderson, Sasha Pastujov, Ryan Mast, Marko Sikic and Nolan Dillingham also scored for the Sting. Ben Gaudreau made 22 saves.
The Sting are third in the OHL’s Western Conference and the Storm are sixth.
The Sting are seven points behind the conference-leading Windsor Spitfires.
Sarnia has five games left and Windsor has four.
The Sting will honour radio announcer Leigh Cunningham before Saturday’s game for his 1,500th career game in the OHL. Cunningham will be broadcasting the Sting's home game against Kingston — coverage on CHOK (103.9 FM/1070 AM) begins at 6:30 p.m.
