Local food trucks serve up fan-favourites

Friday's dinner options could be wide-ranging as the Savory Sarnia Food Truck Festival rolls into Hiawatha Horse Park & Entertainment Centre.

The event, hosted by Gateway Casinos Sarnia and Hiawatha, will be held on Friday, June 9 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Gateway Casinos Ontario Director of Communications and Public Affairs Rob Mitchell said food trunk linked to its Match restaurant, called Match on the Move will be at the event.

"We've had out food truck in a festival in London in the past but this is new for us down Sarnia way. It's pretty exciting and I think it's going to be a lot of fun," he said. "It's a pretty diverse menu."

Aside from Match on the Move, Mitchell said OMG Poutine will also be at the festival, along with Big Daddy's Chip Truck, Truckin Mamas on the run, Black Hog Barbeque, and the Ice Cream Lady.

Attendees are asked to enter from the south gate at 1730 London Line.

There will be no entry fee at the all-ages event.

Aside from local food trucks, there will also be live music and giveaways.
