Four years after the abduction and death of a Kitchener man, Wellington County OPP continue to investigate the unsolved case as a homicide.
Jason John Brown, 43 at the time of his disappearance, was last seen on Jessie Street in Harriston, Ontario on March 12, 2019, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Brown was later reported missing and his body was found a day later north of Whitby, near Stevenson Road and Durham Regional Road 5. Investigators deemed his death to be a homicide.
According to police, suspects were seen in Harriston around 6:30 p.m. at the cemetery near where Brown went missing on March 12, 2019. Police have identified three vehicles of interest.
The vehicles are described as a light-coloured Chevrolet Cruze, a light-coloured Chrysler 300, and a dark-coloured minivan. Investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have seen these or any similar vehicles in that area during that time.

"Someone out there knows about the abduction and death of Jason Brown. OPP investigators continue to work tirelessly following up on leads and tips from the public, and I am calling on the members of our community to help us bring those responsible for Jason's death to justice. If you saw something that night or have any information you think our investigators should know, call us right away," urged Wellington County Detachment Commander Steve Thomas.
The province is offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Brown's death.
