A 38-year-old Sarnia man is facing nearly 20 charges after he was allegedly found waving a handgun in the city's downtown area, while in possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Sarnia police were called to the area of Christina Street North and Davis Street at 5:17 p.m. on Tuesday.
Officers from the Community Response Division said the suspect was found with "the handgun in plain view."
Police said no injuries were reported.
Marcell Page was charged with the following:
- two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine and fentanyl)
- possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- five counts of possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order
- six counts of breach of recognizance
- failure to comply with a prohibition order regarding children
- three counts of possession of identity documents
Sarnia police said Page was held for a bail hearing. Charges against the accused have not been proven in court.
