Job seekers invited to Camlachie Wednesday

The Lambton College Community Employment Services team is hosting a job fair in Camlachie Wednesday, August 16.

Lambton College Job Developer Kyle Walker said anyone seeking employment is invited to the community centre at 6767 Camlachie Road between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

"This event will host opportunities for seasonal, part-time, full-time, summer opportunities and student opportunities as well," said Walker.

He said first impressions are key.

"We want people to be dressed for success," said Walker. "We want them to be prepared for success. They should come dressed as if they were attending an interview and they should also come with resumes, so as they are speaking with employers, they can submit resumes to companies they're interested in working for and hopefully they get a call for an interview."

Walker is anticipating 20 employers on site.

"We have something for everyone. We have opportunities within healthcare, we have opportunities within the finance industry, we have opportunities within customer service, and then we have opportunities within tech and trades as well," he said.

Employment consultants from the Petrolia site will be there to speak with job seekers about their job search. A Lambton College program advisor will also be on site to answer any of your postsecondary education questions.
