Dog and owner sought following bite incident

Lambton Public Health is searching for a dog and its owner following a biting incident Tuesday afternoon.

The health unit said it happened at around 1:30 p.m. near the corner of Talfourd and Vidal streets.

The dog is described as a light brownish pitbull / boxer mix, with a chain collar and pink leash and was being walked by a female with blonde hair who appeared to be in her 50s or 60s.

Anyone with information on the location of the dog, or its owner, is asked to call Lambton Public Health at 519-383-8331 ext. 3812 or toll-free 1-800-667-1839.

If the dog is not located and the health status of the animal verified, the victim will need to receive post exposure rabies shots.
