Sarnia-Lambton raised $38K on McHappy Day

Hungry customers purchased thousands of Big Macs, Happy Meals, McCafe beverages and other merchandise on McHappy Day.

A total of $38,563.40 was raised locally for St. Clair Child and Youth, surpassing last year's total.

The funds will go towards a therapeutic sensory room and accessibility improvements, including an automatic door, at the Kendall Street building.

A combined total of $12,765.69 was also raised at McDonald's restaurants in Sarnia, Petrolia and Strathroy towards Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

In 2022, McDonald’s Canada set a goal to donate over $70 million to RMHC by 2026, to help nearly double the number of bedrooms for families across the country over the next ten years.

Since McHappy Day started 30 years ago, McDonald's restaurants have contributed close to $66 million to assist Ronald McDonald House and local charities.
