Site preparations underway for Indigenous housing project

A section of a busy Sarnia road is closed this week for construction.

Confederation Street between Murphy Road and Indian Road is closed for site servicing work underway at the future home of an Indigenous affordable housing project.

Work is scheduled to continue through Friday, and businesses in the area are open.

No through traffic is permitted at the intersection of Vanier Road and Confederation Street and motorists are reminded to obey posted detour signage.

The 12.6 million housing project is hoped to be completed by December 2025.
