The Sarnia Sting lost both games and more players in a frustrating eastern road trip that concluded with a 5-2 loss in Kingston Saturday night.
The Sting came out with a lot more jump in the first period after being shut out 5-0 in Ottawa Friday.
Sarnia outshot the Frontenacs 17-11 but trailed 1-0.

The Sting took advantage of some puck luck with two goals early in the second. Daniel Nikandrov coverted on a failed two-on-one when his attempted pass came right back to him off the defender. Nikita Korostelev and Josh Defarias assisted.
Goaltender Taylor Dupuis recorded his third assist of the season when a puck mishandled by his counterpart at the other end, Lucas Peressini, was tipped in by Hayden Hodgson for his 16th of the year. Brandon Lindberg also drew an assist.
After the strong opening period, the Sting could muster only 11 shots on goal the rest of the way and was outshot 35-28.

The Sting started the game without the injured Pavel Zacha, rookie Jakob Chychrun due to an upper body injury suffered in Ottawa and defenseman Josh Chapman who faces a possible lengthy suspension from a flagrant elbow to the head of a 67 player Friday. During the game the Sting lost Alex Renaud, who was kicked out for pulling off an opponent's helmet in a fight and Patrick White and Defarias due to injury.
The Frontenacs were led by Conor McGlynn with two goals and an assist and top ten NHL prospect Lawson Crouse with a goal and two assists.
The Sting (23-19-4-2) drops into sixth place in the OHL Western Conference after Kitchener's 4-1 win at home to Guelph.
Sarnia has a home and home series with the Rangers, Thursday night at the RBC Centre and Friday night in Kitchener. The Sting hosts Mississauga Sunday afternoon February 8.
