Sarnia Sting Name Captains

The Sarnia Sting has named its captain and assistants for the upcoming Ontario Hockey League season.

Overage forward Daniel Nikandrov will serve as captain in his fourth full season with the team. Jakob Chychrun, Josh Jacobs, Brandon Lindberg and Alex Black will serve as assistants.

Nikandrov served as an alternate captain for the last two seasons, and is the only overage player on the Sting roster. Nikandrov had a breakout season last year, playing in all 68 regular season games, and tallying a career-high 49 points.

The Sting open the regular season Friday night at home to the Erie Otters on CHOK.
