Sarnia Sports Hall Of Fame Member Dies

 A member of the Sarnia Sports Hall of fame has died.

Jack Clift coached an estimated 4000 local junior tennis and squash players and was a founding member of the Sarnia Tennis Club.

He served on the player development committee for the Canadian Tennis Association and was a recipient of the Governor General of Canada Award.

A celebration of Jack Clift's life will be held Sunday, August 21, from 1pm to 4 pm at the Sarnia Riding Club with arrangements by the Smith Funeral Home.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
