The Sarnia Sting dropped a 7-4 decision to the Battalion at North Bay Memorial Gardens on Thursday.

Adam Ruzicka and Franco Sproviero both scored early in the first period to give Sarnia a 2-0 advantage, but North Bay had a goal before the second cut the lead in half.

The Battalion scored again 1:44 into the second frame to tie the game, but Ruzicka scored his second of the night at just over two minutes, followed by Jordan Kyrou who scored to give Sarnia a 4-2 lead.

However, North Bay found their momentum in the last half of the second and scored another two goals to tie the game once again.  The Battalion scored three more unanswered goals in the third to earn them the win.

North Bay also outshot Sarnia 43-36.

The Sting are back on the ice on Friday when they head to Sudbury to take on the Wolves. The puck drops at 7pm.
