Long Standing Fun Park Being Dismantled

The familiar Bluewater Fun Park on London Line is being dismantled.

It was announced last month that the owners of the adjacent Valley Axe had leased the five acre property and plan to build as many as a dozen outdoor throwing ranges, a soccer field and volleyball courts.

Spokesman Bo Tait said the waterslides would be torn down and the pools removed with hopes of opening the new attraction in June.

Tait also said they plan to have lots of green space for events like festivals and car shows.

He declined to disclose the cost of the project.

Bluewater Fun Park was built at a cost of $1.2-million and first opened in 1986 as Bluewater Splashdown.
