A Sarnia teacher has been honoured as one of Canada's top educators at a national awards ceremony.
Lori Barbato teaches at St. Anne Catholic School.
She has received the Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence and was been recognized for engaging students in hands-on learning, as well as building relationships and providing consistency in her Grade 2 classroom.
St. Clair Catholic District School Board Director of Education Deb Crawford says it's a deserving honour.
"Lori is a gifted and innovative Catholic teacher," says Crawford. "We are thrilled that she has been recognized along with some of Canada's most outstanding educators."
