Sarnia Transit planning Christmas Lights tour

If your house is decked out with Christmas Lights, or your neighbours is, Sarnia Transit wants to know! Transit Superintendent Andrew Savor said they're starting to plan the routes for this years bus tours. "We're encouraging residents to decorate their houses and enter their house in the Celebration of Lights [residential] contest so their house can be judged and added to the tour," said Savor. "If they don't wish to enter their house in the lighting competition, residents can call Sarnia Transit and confidentially give us their address and we can drive by and see their decorations." Single residential properties will be judged on their arrangement of lights, maximum use of surroundings and overall creativity. Applications, which can be filled out online, must be received by December 8 at 5 p.m. To enter, click here. Sarnia Transit buses will depart from the southwest entrance to Lambton Mall on Thursday December 12 and Friday December 13 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:15 p.m. Tickets are $2 and can be purchased for a specific departure time at the customer service counter at City Hall until December 11. Participants are asked to bring canned food donations for River City Vineyard.
