The 150th Forest Fall Fair kicks off Friday night, and runs throughout the weekend at the fairgrounds.
Gates open at 4 p.m., and Friday's highlights include Alex Lasalle's petting zoo, the Northfire Circus street performers, and refreshment tent.
Spokesman Gord Marsh said there's a special fireworks show.
"We've never had fireworks before but we figured it would be a good way to celebrate our anniversary," said Marsh. "The show gets underway at 9:45 p.m. at the infield of the fairgrounds."
Marsh said there will be midway rides available throughout the weekend.
"It's been a struggle across the province with the decrease in the number of midway companies that are providing service. We're very fortunate to have the company that we have here. They've treated us well over the years and they put on a great show."
Gates open at 7 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
Other weekend events include light horse shows, baby, and cattle shows, a parade, Classic Championship Wrestling, and concerts.
The popular demolition derby is at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Daily admission is $10, and elementary students and younger get in for free.
