Lambton school bus provider sells operations

A Lambton County transportation provider for over 30 years has sold its school bus operations.

Hull Bus Lines has been purchased by Langs Bus Lines, which started operating all of its routes for Chatham-Kent Lambton Administrative School Services [CLASS] this week.

CLASS General Manager Kent Orr said no changes are anticipated from a service perspective.

"Hull [Bus Lines] has been around for a long time of course, and been a great vendor for us, but with Langs buying them out we still anticipate a great service level for our parents and kids," said Orr.

However, he said there will be some minor alterations.

"It will be the same bus drivers on the same routes. What you may see in the coming weeks and months will be the change of the name on the side of the bus, but other than that, the service will remain the same."

According to its website, Hull Bus Lines had a fleet of 80 vehicles including 53 school buses and school purpose vehicles in Lambton County.

The website said the fleet carried 2,298 students and traveled 8,819 kilometres each day.

Hull operated out of two locations, one on Progress Drive in Petrolia and another on Lougar Avenue in Sarnia.

Sarnia News Today reached out to Hull Bus Lines for an interview on the sale, but a response has yet to be received.
