In-person polls in Sarnia open at 10 a.m. Monday for the municipal election.
There are nine polling stations in the city and voters can cast their ballot at any of them today until 8 p.m.
-Pathways Health Centre for Children, 1240 Murphy Rd. -The YMCA Learning and Career Centre, 660 Oakdale Ave. -Pat Stapleton Arena, 134 Brock St. South -Clearwater Community Centre, 1400 Wellington St. -Strangway Community Centre, 260 Est St. North -St. Benedict Church, 1011 Oak Ave. -Sacred Heart Church, 1465 Lecaron Ave. -Bright’s Grove Public School, 2612 Hamilton Rd. -Lambton Mall, former Running Room location, 1380 London Rd.
Voters are reminded to bring along photo identification and their Voter Information Letter. A help centre for voters will also be open Monday at Sarnia City Hall until 8 p.m.
Sarnia Transit is offering free service for those casting their ballot in person.
Voters can still vote online until polls close at 8 p.m.
As of 4 p.m. on Friday, October 21, a total of 8,498 eligible voters, or 15.79 per cent, had cast their ballot online. In 2018, a total of 48.9 per cent voted, up from 37.1 per cent in the previous municipal election.
There are two candidates running for the mayor's seat, nine candidates vying for four city/county councillor positions and 25 individuals are running for four city council seats.
