Bluewater Anglers is hosting a family fun fishing day Saturday.

A fishing licence is not required for the free activity from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Centennial Park.

Participants are asked to gather at "Fishy Fountain" for sign in.

The club said everyone must sign in to receive a bucket to be used to collect your gobies, and receive a ticket for a hot dog and pop at the weigh-in.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The weigh-in will be held at the hatchery in Point Edward, north of the Blue Water Bridge, from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Prizes will be given out for the most gobies caught.

The event caps off Ontario's last free fishing campaign of 2023.
