The recent rain and snow melt left some residents in parts of Lambton Shores underwater.
Residents in the Cedarview Subdivision reported significant flooding on and surrounding their properties.
Area resident and flood committee member Anita Cramp said flooding has been a persistent issue for homeowners.
"So just going through the neighbourhood, you can see that most of the homes have been impacted by exterior flooding," said Cramp. "I'm unsure how many interior floodings occurred as a result of this most recent one this past week, but I do know we have had upwards of 30 properties that have experienced interior flooding during moderate to major rainfalls."

Director of Public Works Nick Verhoven said they received fewer than a dozen reports of flooding since last weekend.
"This time of year when we get snow-melt and rain on top of snow-melt, there's a lot of water," said Verhoven. "Some of our areas don't have storm sewers or if they do, they're very minimal, so it's just the amount of water in some of those areas take a while longer to dry out."
Cramp said on top of flooding, they also have to contend with septic system failures.
"We've had septics totally full to the point you're unable to flush toilets, the ground is completely saturated and requires multiple pumping," she said. "So I think we're just really keen to know, is this a priority for the municipality? And if the funds are being allocated, what are some really clear short-term and long-term actions?"
Verhoven said the municipality is familiar with issues in the Cedarview Subdivision. He said Lambton Shores approved a Stormwater Master Plan in the 2024 budget that will deal with those flooding areas in west Bosanquet.
"We're hopeful that that project will start this spring and wrap up shortly afterwards this year," said Verhoven. "That will identify problem areas and projects to fix those areas. And once we have money in place to do those projects, then they'll get done and hopefully improve the situation."

Cramp said the community understands that large infrastructure projects do take a lot of planning, time and money.
"But what are some of those intermediate solutions that can be put in place, so that every time we do have a moderate amount of rainfall, people are not finding themselves in these predicaments where their front yards, back yards are flooded, septic systems and basements flooded. A couple basements have been flooded like five to six feet."
Lambton Shores residents impacted by recent flooding are urged to notify the municipality. Nick Verhoven said staff can investigate and see if there are ways to help mitigate the situation, or infrastructure that requires maintenance.
