Charges laid after significant drug seizure

Two Sarnia men have been charged after city police seized a substantial amount of drugs valued at approximately $166,053.

Members of the Sarnia Police Service's Emergency Response Team and the Vice Unit searched an Indian Road apartment near Talfourd Street Tuesday.

Officers seized 33.46 grams of fentanyl, 551.97 grams of cocaine, 946.73 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 25 codeine pills.

A hydraulic cocaine press, prohibited butterfly knife, and $550 in cash was also seized.

Police said two men at the residence were arrested.

Donald Brown, 76, and Ethan Locking, 22, are both charged with possession of a controlled substance (codeine), three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl), and possession of a prohibited weapon. 

Police said Brown was released from custody with a future court date while Locking was held for a bail hearing.

Charges against the accused have not been proven in court.
