Sarnia police have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection to a violent home invasion.
A 46-year-old man suffered a large laceration to his head and cuts and scrapes on his hands and knees, he was later treated at the hospital, police said.
Investigators were able to identify the suspect due to tips from the public. He was found and arrested on Saturday.
The Sarnia man is facing charges including break-and-enter with the intent to commit an indictable offence, mischief under $5,000, assault causing bodily harm, and assault with a weapon for the April 10 incident.
It was later determined that at the time of the home invasion, the suspect was out on bail for multiple offences including violence and breaching court conditions.
