Driver charged in weekend hit-and-run

Lambton OPP say a driver has been charged in a hit-and-run in Petrolia over the weekend.

At around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, police were called to a two vehicle crash on Petrolia Line between Tank Street and First Avenue.

Police said a black Mustang collided with a pickup truck and left the scene. Thankfully, nobody was hurt.

Police said a 50-year-old man was arrested at the Petrolia OPP Detachment on Sunday.

The Petrolia resident is charged with dangerous operation and failing to remain at the scene.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
