Sting sign Gaughan to OHL development agreement

The Sarnia Sting have signed forward Chase Gaughan to an Ontario OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

The Sting chose him 45th overall in this year's draft.

The Drums, Pennsylvania native tallied 21 goals and 27 assists in 22 games for the Palmyra Black Knights AAA team.

He also had a pair of assists in four games at the OHL Cup.

"Chase is a skilled forward, someone that caught our eye back in October, we say a smart right shot centre, reads the ice well, puck seems to find him," said Seca. "We went to work on the recruitment immediately. He’s someone who certainly had his options, but playing in the Ontario Hockey League and the Sarnia Sting became a priority for Chase and his family. We’re excited to see him with our program. We welcome Chase and the Gaughan family to Sarnia."

Gaughan is the second member of the Sting's 2024 draft class to sign with the club.

Second overall choice Alessandro Di Iorio signed an agreement last Friday.
