OPP charge three, seize over $27K of illegal drugs

Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have taken $27,700 worth of illegal drugs off the streets.

According to police, members of the OPP's Lambton County Community Street Crime Unit and uniformed officers made the seizure and arrested three people as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

A vehicle was pulled over just after midnight on January 2, on Victoria Road in Thamesville, OPP said.

During the traffic stop, police seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, carfentanyl, cash, and other drug paraphernalia.

Three Wallaceburg residents were arrested and charged with multiple counts of possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

A 39-year-old has been held in custody pending a court appearance on January 10.

Two others, aged 33 and 37, were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at a Chatham court on February 13.
