The Sarnia Sting continue to be active ahead of the OHL trade deadline, coming up Friday.
On Thursday afternoon, the club dealt forward Kaeden Johnston to the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for a 10th round draft pick in 2025.
The 19-year-old Peterborough native had four goals and 10 assists in 34 games this season.
Sting General Manager Dylan Seca commented on the deal.
"When we acquired Kaeden we thought he could compliment our young hockey club, but with some recent player acquisitions and the development of some other players we decided to provide opportunity to those players," said Seca. "This trade also helps Kaeden stay in the OHL, which is great for him."
The Sting initially acquired Johnston from the London Knights on September 23 for a fourth round draft pick in 2027.
Their next game is at home to the Owen Sound Attack Friday night before heading to Erie on Saturday.
